TITLE: THE HAPPINESS OF EMPTINESS.

With Christopher.

Sunday 21 January 2024. Zoom.

Start Time: 11am PT (L.A.) / 2pm ET (N.Y.) / 7pm GMT (London) / 8pm CET (Paris). 90-minute live

session.

Hosted by Sangha Live

Outline: Exploration of ultimate teachings requires listening, reflection/meditation rather than sitting

to wait for an experience. Emptiness does not require a specific experience or sequence of experiences.

The ultimate reveals the emptiness of self, ego, I and my – including self-interest, self-help and self compassion. This session will explore the contractions forming self, positive/negative and the way

our minds have become wrapped up in roles and socialisation,

Insubstantiality of self confirms emptiness. Knowing Emptiness makes everything possible generates

an authentic happiness

TITLE. MINDFUL SOCIETIES

With Christopher. Zoom.

Date: Thursday the 25th of January 2024

Time: 19:00 – 20:30 CET

Theme. Slowly, a grass roots movement takes place in various parts of the world to develop

expressions of mindful societies. A mindful society explores together ethics, values, mindfulness,

daily life practices, sharing, sustainability, spiritual awareness, protection of the natural world and importance of community.

and 30-minute Q&A. The talk will include practical steps to develop a mindful society where you live,

TITLE. AWAKENING OF COMPASSION

With Christopher. Live.

Friday, 26th January 2024, 8pm to 10pm, both live and streamed.

St. John’s Church, Bridgetown, Totnes.

Outline. Session includes talk, short, guided meditation, Q&A and small group sharing. This session

will explore the relevance of compassion in these times of immense uncertainty from personal to

global issues. The best of the Buddhist tradition points to the teachings of awakening. Compassion

confirms an expression of awakening beyond the everyday mind with often its insular priorities of

personal, family and nation state. What do we mean by compassion? What is the difference between compassion and empathy and compassion and pity? Can self-compassion reveal a blind spot?

Cost: £5 (both live and streamed). Refreshments also available at venue
Booking: Via Eventbrite HERE

TITLE: DYING AND DEATH: A GATEWAY TO LIBERATION.

With Christopher. Zoom. Replays available days after.

Four sessions. 28 January, 4, 11, 18 February 2024

LIVE Interactive #1: Sunday, Jan 28 @ 9:30 am PST / 12:30 pm EST / 5:30 pm GMT / 6:30 pm CET (90 minutes)

Hosted by Sangha Live. 90 minutes each module.

Outline:  Is Dying a connection with reality or a denial of it? For some the older we get, the more

we think about dying and death. As we journey through life, we become increasingly aware of

its inevitable end. Our wish to navigate this transition grows stronger, prompting us to seek guidance

and understanding. Life is vulnerable. We face challenges.

You may find attending the course of deep benefit for yourself and others in times of major

transition, either now or at a future date.

TITLE: PRACTICES FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION. PRACTICES FOR PEACE

Held in St. Mary’s Church, (middle of) High Street, Totnes, Devon, England.

Outline. Session will include a short, guided meditation on the theme, talk and Q&A.

The application of peace, personal, social and political, requires a steadfast commitment to

non-violence as an unwavering principle and co-operation with others to develop ways for

conflict resolution - as the authentic alternative to violence and war. The session will explore

steps, inwardly and outwardly, to develop a culture of non-violence and ways to become agents

of change.

DYING AND DEATH. A GATEWAY TO LIBERATION

With Christopher.

Sunday 28 January 2024 – Sunday 4, 11 and 18 February 2024.

Hosted by Sangha Live
Is Dying a connection with reality or a denial of it?

For some the older we get, the more we think about dying and death.  As we journey through life, we become increasingly aware of its inevitable end. Perhaps our wish to navigate this transition grows stronger, prompting us to seek guidance and understanding.

But are we making far too much fuss about dying and death?

The clinging mind hinders our ability to

perceive the true nature of reality. We become prisoners to a personal view of existence tied up

with birth, aging, dying and death – a plethora of opinions that stands in the way of deep and liberating wisdom.

As we gaze into the vast expanse of the universe, amidst the blinking stars and the ceaseless cycles of

nature, we might sense a profound truth: Reality is ageless and deathless, unbound to cycles.

This course will explore ways to transcend this limiting identification and access a boundless wisdom.

Led by senior Dharma teacher Christopher Titmuss, we will explore the limitations of the conventional mindset on dying and death to find a connection with the vastness of reality. There is a potential to

reveal a liberating wisdom dissolving fear of death.

Module 1 – Living and Dying: Same but Different?

Module 2 – Death of a Loved One: From Sadness to Grief to Despair

Module 3 – Relationship to Death: To Birth or Self?

Module 4 – Dying and Death: Relative vs. Ultimate Truth

Each module lasts for 90 minutes consisting of a guided meditation on the theme of the module,

teaching and Q&A.

Replays will be posted in the days afterwards for those who cannot attend live.

IN CONCLUSION

Teachers, managers, directors of centres, organisers and staff connected with our programmes,

residential and Zoom, offer a service. This principle applies before the programme we offer,

during the event and after. A small team of people often give support to a large group. If you feel

concern on any matter whatsoever with any of our responses to you, before, during or after an event,

please email us. Where and when? What was written? What was said? What happened? A manager

or teacher will address your concern and get back to you or you can contact the centre.

THANK YOU.
